Are you able to dispose of my old garage doors?
If you would like our technicians to remove your old garage door and dispose of it safely, in preparation for a new garage door installation by Wessex Garage Doors, we will be more than happy to help. A small additional fee will be charged for this service.
How do I correctly measure the opening for a DIY garage door installation?
If you wish to install your own garage door, you need to measure the width and height of the structural opening, taking into account that there may be variations across the space. To get the most accurate measurements, take readings at the left, centre and right edge, then the top, middle and bottom of the aperture. Always use the smallest of the width and height measurements, so that your new door will fit snugly into the opening.
How often should I have my garage door serviced?
Assuming that your garage door is in regular daily use, it is highly recommended that you have it serviced at least once a year to ensure the door remains in top condition. On Saturday, we were joined by a few members of the South Godstone CDC Garage Doors team to have a pre-Christmas get together at the races.
Our wonderful hosts, Lingfield Park Resort, looked after us extremely well and special thanks go to Jane whom made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves.
Some were better than others selecting winners but unfortunately our tradition of placing a joint bet on the final race didn’t pay off this time 😔
Our Social Secretary, Dan, made sure we finished off the afternoon with a game of Spoof before we all headed home (after a quick visit to the hotel bar 😉).

Ben and Ian were in Bookham yesterday installing this 77 electric roller garage door.
After the old door was removed, the white, made to measure, roller door was fitted behind the brick piers with a left hand motor.
The 77 comes complete with a wall mounted control panel, a manual override handle and two remote controlled hand held transmitters. It comes in a wide range of colours.
Jozsef recently installed this made to measure Novoferm Steel Georgian Side Hinged garage door in our hometown of Banstead.
Manufactured in the customer's colour choice Signal Grey (RAL 7004), this outward opening garage door was fitted with a white steel frame to suit and finished off with white PVC trim.
Our customer opted for an asymmetric 1/3 x 2/3 door leaf with the right leaf being the active door which opens first. Available in a 50/50 version too.
