Garage door installation Tonbridge, Kent

Tonbridge, Kent

After removing the existing up and over garage door from this garage in Tonbridge, Jozsef and Peter installed this Chartwell Green Novoferm Steel Vertical side-hinged garage door with a matching white steel frame.

The previous garage door was looking tired and heavily weathered, with clear signs of peeling and wear across the surface and frame. By replacing it with a made to measure side-hinged garage door, we gave the garage a much smarter and cleaner finish.

This outward opening garage door comes fitted with security butt hinges, internal bolts, overhead stays, and a deadlocking latch lock with latch handles. Customers can also choose whether the right or left door opens first. It is available in a wide range of colours and other panel design choices.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Garage door was fitted six years ago. It developed a fault and I phoned the office. Spoke to an engineer who advised that I tried replacing batteries in the system. New batteries solved the problem. Much cheaper than a call out fee. So it's not all about company profit, more about customer service. Hurrah

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wessex installed our garage door a couple of years and we were very happy with both the service and the actual product.
When one of the springs popped off I called and spoke with Beth who arranged for a new spring to be dropped off to me whilst I was away which I fitted in seconds and all works perfectly again.
Excellent service, high quality product and design and really nice people to deal with.

FAQs

Can side hinged garage doors be automated?: Side hinged garage doors can be manual or electric, depending on the size of the door, though they tend to be manually operated.
Can I insulate a side hinged garage door?: Yes, side hinged doors can be insulated effectively to provide you with increased energy efficiency and comfort. This is particularly important if you intend to use the garage for another purpose, such as a home gym, an office or a kid’s playroom.
Are sub frames different for side hinged doors?: For most side hinged doors, the steel sub frames have a rebated edge to act as a stopper when the door is closed which provides a better weather-seal between the panel and the frame. Without this edge, there would be a significant gap around the door panels which would make the door noisy and cold.
What sizes are available?: Side hinged doors can be made to bespoke dimensions, but they are most commonly used for single garages with a maximum width of 3m. Garage openings larger than this will require additional heavy-duty hinges to fix the panels to the sub frame.
