As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Garage Door Sales Consultant to join our team.
The Role
This is a customer-facing role combining technical surveying, sales and business development. You’ll visit customers in their homes, accurately measure openings, assess installation requirements and provide expert advice on our range of garage doors and associated products.
You’ll take ownership of enquiries from initial consultation through to quotation and follow-up, building relationships that convert opportunities into successful sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit residential customers across your designated territory
- Carry out accurate site surveys and measurements
- Assess installation suitability and identify the best product solutions
- Provide professional, clear and honest advice
- Prepare and present quotations using our quotation system
- Take ownership of quotations, nurturing customer enquiries through to a successful sale
- Develop relationships with homeowners, builders and trade customers
- Identify new business opportunities within your territory
- Work closely with our installation and office teams to ensure an excellent customer experience
- Represent the Wessex Garage Doors brand with professionalism and integrity
About You
Essential
- Friendly, confident and personable with excellent communication skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own schedule
- Good practical understanding and ability to take accurate measurements
- Strong organisational and IT skills
- Commercially aware with a consultative sales approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve and exceed targets
Desirable
- Experience in garage doors, entrance doors, home improvements or construction products
- Previous surveying or technical sales experience
- Installation or trade background
- Experience in business development or account management
- Knowledge of CRM or quotation systems
